Meet Jax

I’m Jax Preciado — a writer and visual poet creating collection-based artwork and creative nonfiction in Hawai‘i. My work traces the arc from lineage to liberation through daily creative practice, reflection, and the quiet rituals that help us become.

This body of work is unfolding as a book in progress and a series of art collections rooted in joy, memory, and noticing the magic we’re taught to rush past.

My Story

My story begins with my grandmother — a Filipina–Mexican artist, nurse, pianist, florist, and doll maker. Her creativity taught me that art is survival, expression, and love passed forward. Today, I'm raising four children and building a creative life that honors that legacy — one piece at a time.
